Breastfeeding Support

Prenatal and Postpartum Individualized Care

We Are Your Breastfeeding Resource

Breast feeding is a high priority for us and most of our Willow clients.  We seek to provide sustained support, beginning with complementary prenatal breastfeeding education classes, and continuing with private in-home appointments throughout your postpartum period. Because your care is always guided by our midwives, our services are generally covered by insurance.

Our breastfeeding program is led by our staff lactation counselor Katy Miller, RN CLC. Katy brings her 10+ years of experience to offer comprehensive, individualized care and guidance to every family on their breastfeeding journey.

We offer:

Monthly free and open to the public breastfeeding Q & A sessions

In-home postpartum lactation appointments

Drop-in baby weight checks

Follow-up as indicated

Breast Pumps and Insurance Coverage

Choosing, purchasing, and navigating insurance coverage for your breast pump can be an unexpected challenge in your postpartum period. To ease the process, we have partnered with Milk Moms, an organization that works directly with your insurance to help you find the breast pump of your choice that will be covered by your insurance plan. Your midwives will submit an order to Milk Moms, who will call you to obtain your insurance information, inform you of all of your options, and help you order a breast pump that is covered by your insurance.
