Birth Services

You deserve a birth where you feel safe, supported, and heard. You are in the best of hands with our Certified Nurse Midwives and we look forward to serving you.

Our priority is to support you through a safe and empowering birth experience for you and your baby. Our Certified Nurse Midwives are trained, qualified, and credentialed to care for clients who birth in our freestanding birth center, and within the hospital system. We partner with you to determine which facility will best serve your values and health needs, and can swiftly adapt to any changes that may arise throughout your pregnancy.

Our freestanding birth center is a safe, intimate and comfortable facility for low-risk, low-intervention birth. We meet with you to assess your health history and current health status at your initial visit, and will continue to monitor you and your baby’s health status until you give birth. While Willow Birth Center is free of many of the interventions that are commonly used in hospitals, we do offer Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) for pain relief, and are stocked with emergency medications and equipment in the rare event that they are needed.

We also care for people choosing to birth at the hospital when desired or medically indicated, as our midwives have admitting privileges at both Fairview Southdale and Abbott Northwestern’s MotherBaby Center. In this setting we are able to offer epidurals, co-management with obstetricians when medically indicated, and support through a wide range of “normal” within our Certified Nurse Midwives’ scope of practice.

We know that safety, options, education and informed choice are essential pieces of a positive birth experience.

Our model is designed to support you through it all.
